Position Summary

This position acts as a Spanish translator and liaison between the school and parents/students.  This position assists in connecting parents/students to community resources.  The position also assists in the implementation of instructional and non-instructional programs and performs a variety of routine clerical and office tasks in support of teachers and other district staff.

Physical Demands/Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear.  The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk, climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with assistance.  The employee must be able to push items of 50 pounds such as pushing children on a bike, in a wheelchair, or moving/rearranging furniture. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and peripheral vision. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud at a standard acceptable level for this environment. The employee is responsible for the safety, well-being and work output of students. The employee is exposed to infectious diseases/illnesses carried by students.
